It's Almost AUGUST?!

Dog Days are upon us. Our canine counterparts understanding the seasonal rhythms we ignore. It’s the winter of summer. Busy, fast, and too hot to be outside. You know why owning is important? Besides many other reasons? If you’re going to be inside, you might as well enjoy it. When you own, you get to make your home your oasis.

If you need an oasis that isn’t your home, check out Luray’s Golden Ridge Manor. It’s a chic, modern Airbnb with all the amenities of a 5 star hotel. How decadent would it be to close the blinds, pour yourself something fizzy and watch a movie in this speakeasy-esque lounge? THAT is luxury at its finest.

Hot, Dog Days of Summer activities around Harrisonburg & Rockingham:

  1. Facials at WithSimplicity - If you haven’t experienced the joy of someone massaging your face for an hour, you need to stop what you’re doing and book now. I may never be the same. My face glowed like the sun and yours can, too.

  2. Speaking of WithSimplicity, Black Sheep is moving in next door! East Market Street is getting some love and I love it. It’s fun to see little corners of Harrisonburg revived.

  3. Levitt Amp Concert Series - Wednesday nights at Turner Pavilion lawn, it’s a free concert and a party. I’ve gone to all three so far. A great vibe, kid and dog friendly, with a local brewery on tap and Kline’s Ice Cream. Bring a chair or blanket and a hat. It’s that third location kind of activity where you run into all your favorite people.

  4. Harvest Table has become one of my go-tos for working and coffee. Besides having excellent food, they are now doing latte flights and change out the flavors! Go get yourself some on a hot day. Run into some friends like I do most times.

Until next month remember,

A house has a number, a home has a name.

XOXO,

Amelia
